Dolby 3D Digital Cinema Comes To The Metrolux 14

Metrolux 14 is proud to announce that we now offer Dolby 3D Digital Cinema. And we are excited to offer “UP in Disney Digital 3D” as our first movie to be shown in this format.
The new pricing structure for 3D movies will be an additional $2.50 per ticket for all 3D show times.
Dolby 3D Digital Cinema is an extension of the established, proven Dolby Digital Cinema technology. Dolby 3D Digital Cinema delivers an impressive 3D experience that provides realistic color and a sharper, clearer image. In addition, the technology behind Dolby 3D offers audiences a great 3D experience from every seat in the house. It gives the audience the illusion of depth, showing images that differ slightly in vantage point to each of the viewer's eyes. The viewer's brain will reconstruct the third dimension, just as it does in the real world.
In Dolby 3D, a spinning CD-size wheel between the lamp and the digital projector alternately lets through one set of light frequencies or another--two slightly different versions of the red, green and blue primary colors for each eye. The wheel spins six times for each movie frame, with the digital projector synchronized to show the appropriate eye's image.
